The world-renowned wellness advocate explores Dubai’s pioneering model for future cities
Dubai, UAE – 20 October 2025: Renowned author and wellness advocate Maye Musk visited The Sustainable City in Dubai, the region’s first fully operational sustainable community and a global benchmark for sustainable living and quality of life. She was welcomed by Faris Saeed, Founder and Chairman of SEE Holding, the developer behind The Sustainable City and its internationally recognized model of net-zero, human-centric communities.
During her visit, Musk toured the city and explored some of its pioneering design innovations that enhance happiness, wellbeing, and quality of life. Her tour showcased The Sustainable City’s car-free clusters, local food production in biodomes and private family farming plots, open green spaces, vibrant public spaces including the Plaza, and a wide range of sports and recreational facilities, all designed to promote active lifestyles, reduce carbon emissions, and foster community wellbeing.
During the visit, Musk explored the masterplans for the next generation of The Sustainable City, a bold new model of AI-driven future living that will once again emerge from Dubai, reinforcing the emirate’s position as a global pioneer in sustainability, innovation, and human wellbeing.
Musk expressed her admiration for the project and the experience it offers, one that brings together nature and community life in every detail of daily living. She emphasized that this model embodies a healthy and balanced lifestyle that enhances individual happiness and quality of life.
She also visited Sanad Village, the largest center in the region dedicated to supporting and rehabilitating people of determination, which operates as part of The Sustainable City’s integrated framework for sustainable community development. The Village provides a comprehensive environment for social inclusion, empowerment, and wellbeing.
Since welcoming its first residents in 2015, The Sustainable City in Dubai has grown into a thriving community recognized as “the happiest community in the GCC” for three consecutive years, and the recipient of over 70 regional and global awards in sustainability, innovation, and quality of life. Home to residents representing more than 80 nationalities, the city embodies Dubai’s spirit of diversity, inclusion, and collective progress. It serves as a living lab for the cities of the future, showcasing how food security, clean energy, smart mobility, circular economy systems, and social inclusion can come together to redefine modern living.
