Dubai, UAE, April 5, 2024: In recognition of Autism Awareness Month, The Sustainable City is launching a public program aimed at providing immersive, sensory-friendly experiences for individuals with autism and sensory overload challenges. This initiative aims to foster understanding, inclusivity, and accessibility, ensuring that everyone can fully participate in and enjoy the activations hosted within the city.
Throughout the month of April, the sessions will be offering a 360 degrees immersive sensory experience designed to accommodate the unique sensory needs of individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and related conditions. They include mesmerizing visuals and relaxing sounds carefully crafted to create a calming environment and alleviate anxiety.
The sessions will take place within IMMERSEE, the new arts and culture destination in The Sustainable City. They will be integrated into public events within the community, as well as the programs of Sanad Village, the region’s largest center dedicated to understanding autism, also located in the city.
