Bermuda’s Premier and Deputy Premier as well as the CEO of NEPAD include The Sustainable City in their strategic tours of Dubai.

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 03 December 2023: As part of SEE Holding’s ongoing engagements at COP28 UAE with world leaders, policy makers and thought leaders in the field of sustainability, several prominent guests visited The Sustainable City in Dubai. The Hon. E. David Burt, JP, MP, Premier of Bermuda, along with The Hon. Walter Roban, JP, MP, Deputy Premier and Minister of Home Affairs visited the city. They were accompanied by Her Excellency Nardos Bekele-Thomas, CEO of the African Union Development Agency-NEPAD who has previously held senior roles within the United Nations.

The delegation received a first-hand explanation of the innovative model for future cities from the mastermind behind the concept, Engr. Faris Saeed, Chairman & CEO of SEE Holding.

During the tour, the delegation explored the car-free residential clusters, the farm area with its biodomes and farming plots, and gained insights into strategies for achieving energy efficiency, water and waste recycling, and adopting clean mobility practices.

They concluded their visit with a tour of SEE Institute, the 2030 net zero emissions building, and hub for sustainability research and education.
